Dental Technology

Serving Santa Clarita, Valencia, Newhall, Saugus, and San Fernando Valley, California

At Aesthetic Dentistry of Valencia, we offer the latest in dental technology in order to enhance patient care to create a positive for all our clients. Our dental technologies include:

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-ray technology allows our dental team to get a better look at your mouth in a fast and incredibly precise manner. The highly detailed image of your teeth produced on our computer screen can be easily magnified, rotated, and adjusted to better see the contrast of any problematic areas. Aside from allowing us to provide a higher level of care, digital x-rays also use 50 to 90 percent less radiation than traditional x-rays, making them better for your overall well-being.

DIAGNOdent Laser Cavity Detector

We use the DIAGNOdent laser cavity detector to locate decay in a fast, comfortable and effective manner. By shining the laser on your tooth, this device can help detect cavities that are traditionally harder to detect with traditional methods, such as those that are not easily reached with a probe or those with a small opening that may be larger under the surface. From there, we can place tooth-colored or porcelain fillings to restore your healthy, beautiful smile.

Intra-Oral Camera

The intra-oral camera we use is a high-resolution camera that magnifies your teeth 40 times larger than normal. With this size, we can see your teeth easily and clearly, identifying specific problematic areas. This allows you to see what we see and helps you understand what treatments are necessary and why. From there, we can develop an effective and accurate dental treatment plan to best meet your needs and goals.

Laser Periodontal Technology

Laser periodontal technology is a non-surgical approach for treating periodontal (gum) disease. Using a special laser, this effective treatment is much less invasive than gum surgery. This treatment utilizes a laser that generates a tiny beam of concentrated light energy, killing the bacteria responsible for your gum disease. This procedure is less invasive that gum surgery, providing a more comfortable procedure, less post-operative swelling and bleeding, and a faster recovery.

CEREC

CEREC stands for Ceramic Reconstruction, a computerized robotic milling system that allows cosmetic dentists to make one-visit porcelain dental crowns, porcelain onlays and porcelain inlays. CEREC crowns use specialized 3D photography and computer assisted technology to create a customized restoration from a block of pure ceramic. Read more about CEREC technology.

The single-appointment feature eliminates the need for a secondary appointment and a temporary restoration. CEREC restorations are bonded on, which eliminates tooth sensitivity and creates a strong, metal-free restoration. CEREC crowns are also more conservative, saving more of your natural tooth.
